Cultural Swap In Room 3

We have been working with Miss Potter in Room 3 for cultural swap. We have been learning all about Vincent Van Gogh. Did you know:
When he was alive he only sold ONE painting! His work became famous after he had died.
He was really really crazy and chopped off a wee bit of his ear lobe!
He brother was the one who told him he should be an artist.
When he died lots of people started buying his paintings.
He used to be a teacher.
He worked in an art gallery.
He is really famous for painting sunflowers.

We have been practicing drawing sunflowers in lots of different ways - we have used pencils, felts, crayons and chalk.
How do you think they look?

Today we painted our backgrounds for next week. We used yellow, orange and white paint. We sponged it onto our paper to make a cool texture. Here are our backgrounds all ready to go for next week...
