GSNS Open Afternoon - Thursday 28th August

We hope you will be coming to the GSNS open afternoon this Thursday.
We would love to show you around our classroom and talk to you about all the learning we have been doing. This week we have been working very hard to make our own Scotland inspired castles.

Pyjama Day!

We had so much fun dressing up in our pyjamas on Friday!

Miss Potter read us lots of stories and we even got to design our own PJs at discovery time.

Our Holiday Adventures!

The children in Room 3 had a fantastic holiday!
Here are some of the things we got up too...

• I went to the jaffa race - Brody
• I tried to get my wobbly tooth out - Sophie
• I went to the pool and the art gallery - Samara
• I had a playdate and a sleep over with my friend Flynn and we went to How to Train Your Dragon 2, all in the same day! - Poppy
• I went to the movies and watched Tinkerbell the Pirate Fairy - Jojra
• I went to Christchurch and we stayed there for one night, the next day we went to Orana Park and the museum - Hannah
• I went to the butterfly museum - Wills
• I went to Inflatable World - Jacob 
• I went to Aramoana to see the giant mole - Alexis 
• I went to the beach with my friend Salvador and we went to the dinosaur park - Sam
• My Mum bought me a micro car - Tan An
• I went to Chipmunks - Vishvan
• I got a pet goldfish - Maddie
• I went on the train to Oamaru - Brooke
• I went to the swimming pool - Zach
• I went to the jaffa race and I came second place! - Nicholas
• I went to Long Beach and stayed in the holiday house - Elise
• I went to my Nana's - Brady
• I went to my Granny's on a plane with my Aunty and Elise - Oakley
• I got to go to the movies and see Frozen - Tara

Room 3 On Stage!

Thank you to all the parents, friends and family members who came to watch us on stage last Friday. 

We had lots of fun, even if we were a wee bit nervous!

We are on Stage this Friday!

Hi Everyone,

Please come along to assembly this Friday because we are the class of the week!
We will be on stage sharing our learning. If you want to see our compassion koalas, watch a movie about flight and learn about wellbeing you should make sure you are at the hall by 2 o'clock.

Room 3's Trip to the Airport

Last Tuesday Room 3 went on a trip to the Dunedin Airport. We had such a great time!

Here are some of the highlights:

“Watching the bags go around the conveyor belt.” Samara

“Looking at the plane take off.” Poppy

“Watching the jet plane.” Sam

“When we saw the water spraying out the top of the fire engine.” Jorja

“Watching our bags on the computer as they went on the conveyor belt.” Maddie

“Seeing the jet take off and seeing the new and old fire engines.” Nicholas

“Looking at the fire engines spray water.” Vishvan

“I liked seeing the photos.” Elise

“Watching the adults bags on the computer as they went the X-ray machine.” everyone!

Here is a video of what we got up to (sorry it has taken me so long to upload it - working out how to add photos and movies to make one complete movie tested my iMovie making skills, so I hope it works!)

The All Blacks are playing against England at the Forsyth Bar Stadium in Dunedin tomorrow. We hope they win!

Mrs France taught us a song today and we thought we would share it with you. It is to the tune of

 B-I-N-G-O, but we have changed the words and are singing...
