We are excited because we have had 1000 views on our blog!!

On Friday Fonterra shouted all the children and teachers a free lunch to celebrate the first birthday of their Milk in Schools programme. We all got to eat a delicious Pita Pit for lunch. 

The Highlanders also came to celebrate with us and we got to watch them have a milk folding competition. It was a really exciting day! There were milk tankers, video cameras, and lots of cheering and clapping. 

Incase you're not sure, we are all chanting Highlanders, Highlanders!

SNOW DAY - SCHOOL CLOSED

GSNS is closed today (Monday 26th May) due to snow and dangerous road conditions.
Have fun in the snow. You might like to take some photos of you playing in the snow to share with the class.

A Note From Miss Potter

Hello Room 3 Parents & Family Members,

In Room 3 we love sharing our learning on our blog.
We love taking photos of our learning and seeing it on our blog.
We love reading back over the posts on our blog.

What would make our blog even more fantastic would be if parents, other family members, and even the Room 3 children commented on our posts when they read them at home. This will give the children a real, live audience for sharing their learning.

We will be sure to reply to your comments! Friday is usually our 'blog update' day. But if we have spare time throughout the week we will post some of the extra exciting things we have been doing, or have a read through all the wonderful comments we will be receiving soon...

Commenting is easy:

• At the bottom of each post it will say "no comments" or "1 comment", "2 comments" etc.
• Click on this link and it will take you to a text box.
• Write your comment and then click on the drop down box beneath. If you have a google account you can comment through that. If you don't have a Google account, simply click on "name/URL", type in your name and click continue. 
• Lastly click on the big, blue 'publish' button.

I am more than happy to show you how to send a comment if you are still unsure, just come in and ask and I will show you on our classroom computer.

Poppy's Creation

Poppy worked really hard to create Dr Coackroach out of play dough. She spent over an hour trying to make him look exactly right. We think she did a great job!

Meeting Baby Thomas

Alexis bought his new baby brother into Room 3 this week.

His name is Thomas, we think he is really cute, very small and adorable.
